The process of making cold-drawn steel wire.
The drawing process involves pointing the rod toward the head, passing the tip through the die, and connecting the end to the drawing block. The block pulls the lubricating rod through the mold, reducing its diameter and increasing its length.
This reduction in cross section gives the material a certain irritation, which is conducive to its mechanical properties.
